Ruihan Zhao (Philip) is a PhD student in ECE since Fall 2021, co-advised by Dr. Sandeep Chinchali and Dr. Ufuk Topcu. He holds an MS Computer Science from UC Berkeley, advised by Dr. Pieter Abbeel, and a Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.

Philip’s current research direction is computer vision, robotics, and deep reinforcement learning.

Outside of research, Philip likes to play badminton and build drones.
